Mutual Aid in Action

Neighbors supporting neighbors—by design.

Mutual aid is more than a concept here—it’s how we live. In a world that often leaves people to face hard times alone, Moonridge is creating systems where help flows naturally between neighbors. From a shared garden harvest dropped off at a friend’s door to pooling resources for a sudden emergency, we believe that every act of care strengthens the whole.

Our mutual aid networks include shared kitchens, food gardens, timebanks, peer-led care teams, and emergency support funds. These systems are built for resilience, ensuring that in moments of need, no one stands alone.

This work is inspired by the ways communities have cared for each other for generations—long before “social services” became something you had to apply for. By designing these networks into the very foundation of our village, we make them sustainable, reliable, and deeply personal.

How You Can Help

  • Join the timebank or volunteer for peer care
  • Help organize a community food distribution
  • Contribute to our emergency support fund
  • Share your skills in gardening, cooking, organizing, or outreach

Mutual aid is proof that we already have what we need—we just have to share it. Together, we can make sure no one falls through the cracks.
